Hidden Knightsbridge - A guided walk
Starting at 11am on Saturday 17th November
Elaine Wein will lead us through the histories and mysteries of this fascinating part of London

IBM Club Member's* Price £5 per person

More than just Harrods, and posh shops, Knightsbridge was once a favourite haunt of villains and highwaymen.  On our walk we will learn why William III had 300 oil lamps installed, about a “Railway King” who failed to impress, and see the Gentleman’s Club where the Queen and Princess Margaret learned to dance. Discover one of the glitziest, priciest piece of real estate in the world. Meet rhinos, horses, and pet alligators. Hear how a property tycoon duped banks out of a mere £740 million, learn about one of the largest bank robberies in history, and see where Hitler's right-hand man Rudolf Hess was interrogated. Finally we will end our walk at the magnificent Victoria & Albert Museum and learn about its history.
